Things I like

Alright, so it is super busy around here. Urban Craft Uprising starts a week from today! As an organizer I am super busy with the show and then getting ready for the holiday shopping season at Schmancy. I am crossing my fingers it is WAY better than last year but we will see.

I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving! Sadly everyone I ate with forgot their cameras or they ran out of batteries. ha! It was sad too because I think we had the most impressive spread of food we have ever had.

Anyways, here are some things I enjoy.

From Moons Creations

From Willy Nilly Water Lily

From String Fellow Art

From KLT Works

From A. Nichelle Designs

I wish I could keep going but I gotta get back to work! xo

Luv-able and Hug-able

Many of you are participating in the Luv-able Hug-able show at Gallery Hanahou. It looks like it will be another great show!
December 3 - January 9 : gallery hanahou / 611 Broadway, Suite 730, NYC /

The popular NY holiday plush show is returning to gallery hanahou with oodles of handmade plushes for you and yours! Spread warm holiday cheer with adorable, strange, and funny unique plush toys made by more than 50 top plush artists from around the world.

The plushes will be even cuter and more affordable at this year's 3rd annual "Luv-able and Hug-able," with the special theme of "Medium and Mini!": toys that are either just the right size for hugging or small enough to fit in your pocket, swing from a keychain, or be worn on a pin.

Participating artists include returning favorites Christina Gordon of Jam Fancy, Anna Chambers, Robyn Fabsits, and Heidi Kenney, plus a bunch of hug-able new artists, among them APAK!, Elisabeth Doherty of Gourmet Amigurumi, and Sandra Monat of herzensart. As in previous years, gallery hanahou will also exhibit plushes by Japanese artists whose original works are rarely available in the US - this year, that also includes designer toy giants Devil Robots and noriya takeyama!

Plushes will be available for immediate take-home, so come early to the December 3rd opening to nab your favorites! Items in the show will also be available online via galleryhanahou.com starting the week following the opening.

Purl Snowmen

I am a huge fan of Purl and was a little bummed that I didn't get to visit them on this last SUPER short NYC visit. Here is a cute pattern for the knitters out there that love the holidays.

More UCU

More goodies I would like to get my hands on at Urban Craft Uprising are:

Anything by Scrumptious Delight would be good. Again, one of those things I am not sure whom I would give to but I can figure that out later...or just keep it?

I have also been making a lot of items to give. I want to give my landlords a package full of yummy treats and would love to get a few of these salts to throw in there!

My aunt has really gotten into knitting in the past few years and Spincycle makes the most beautiful yarn!

I think my mom needs a bag from Tote2Go as well!

I am also really loving the work by Wooly Bison. Maybe I can convince them to trade...I love trading!!!

There are tons of other amazing vendors who will be at this winter show so check them all out here. I could just go on and on!

Urban Craft Uprising

So the holidays really are not that far away. As I have mentioned I am going to make a full hearted effort to enjoy the holidays this year. I have been stacking away gifts to give for my family and friends for awhile now so that I don't stress out about getting stuff together. I am going to take a little break however because craft shows are coming up and I love to trade and purchase from fellow vendors. I will first be at Urban Craft Uprising which I am so excited for. If you are in the area and going to be attending please do say hello! Anyways, I am still making notes of what I might like to purchase or trade from people and here is a small list to start:

From Urban Craft Uprising

I think it would be fun to get my little doggie nephew a gift from Apartment C. She uses great fabric!

Last winter I did a trade with Berkley Illustrations. I am a huge fan and think it would be fun to get a print for my dad every year for some reason. Or maybe someone new? Either way, they are a must!

I also did a trade with the fantastic duo, Chikabird. I love their notebooks and was happy to give it to someone but have kinda been pining after one ever since. I think it's time. Maybe another trade?

Annie, owner of Dotted Line has mentioned trading and I think I want to finally take her up on the offer!

I was a huge fan of Lush products until I discovered Estrella

One of my goals for next year is going to be send more mail. It's nice to get mail and it so rarely happens anymore. I would be really happy to send love notes with postcards by ilfant

I think my mom and/or aunt would really enjoy needle felting so I got to pick up some kits from Moxie

And I must get one of these shadow puppets for someone...not sure who but I'll figure that out later!
